| Welcome to the Hayward
/ Logan Family Genealogy Tree website. This tree is based upon the union
of two families: The HAYWARD Family, traced back to Henry HAYWARD
born ca 1744,
The LOGAN Family, traced to Edward LOGAN born ca 1799.
Most of the surnames are early pioneers of Canada, and early settlers
of the United States of America, both mostly came from the United Kingdom,
and some from France.
There are branches that are Canadian Loyalists, and those that are
USA Patriots. There are branches from the United Kingdom to Australia,
(The BATTLEY family for one) as well as to Canada.

The Canadian settlers on
this site have prominence in the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick,
Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
The United States settlers have prominence on the east coast in Massachusetts,
and Maine.
Both have settled throughout.
It has amazed me, what one finds out, if you dig hard enough.
One picture
of my Great Grandparents shows an image of a couple where the woman
(my Great - Grandmother) was always labeled as 'Scottish'.
After some, much, a lot of searching, I was able to put enough together
to show that she was
Métis (Scottish and Ojibwa)
So keep digging, what you find, may already be under your nose.-

As the main focus of this site are the families from which our son
comes, those lines have the prominence. Regardless I will attempt
to fill in as many of the lines as possible. If you have any information
that corrects, or adds to this site on any of the families on this site,
please feel free to contact us - include
any collaboration (source) or information including photos.
