born 1821 in Hopewell Parish, Albert Co., New Brunswick, Canada,
married to Mary O. born ca 1833, she dies Nov 1889. (she was possibly
Olivia Mary PREBLE, and they possibly were married
on 14 Aug 1849 Sussex, Kings, New Brunswick - LDS Archives) In the 1901
census he is a widower (age 80) and lists:

| A serious accident occurred in Geldart &
Wilson's sawmill at Prosser Brook (Albert Co.) on Thursday
afternoon. Aaron HAYWARD while working in the mill, fell on
one of the circular saws and was frightfully mangled. Drs
Robinson and McDonald were called and amputated the right
leg between the knee and ankle. As Mr. Hayward is nearly 70
years old, his recovery is doubtful. 28 September 1888 KCR |
