| Friends of Mr. WARWICK were surprised to here of
his death at Lawrencetown, N.S. Saturday. The `Globe' says Mr.
Warwick was at one time an active merchant in St. John city. In
1852 he was in the crockery ware business and two years later he
and W.H. HAYWARD formed a partnership. Their store was on Prince
William St. Finally Mr. Hayward purchased the business and Mr.
Warwick went into hardware in company with Messrs. Hayward and
Clark. After a time this business was purchased by S. Hayward
& Co. who have carried it on ever since. Mr. Warwick then
returned to the scene of his childhood where he built a home and
has lived ever since. His wife was a sister of his first
partner, W.H. Hayward, and O.H. WARWICK, who carried on the
crockery business on King St., is his only son. Mrs. LINTON,
Truro, is a daughter. Mr. Warwick was 82 years of age. 27
