| William Warren BELFRY (Jacob,
Peter)
born 20 Jun 1820 in the township of Markham, York Co, Ontario,
Canada. He married Rebecca Ann PAYSON on March 17,
1846, and worked his father's farm. Rebecca's father was Holland Payson
Esq., of North Gwillimbury. Rebecca is listed as age 56 at the time of
the 1881 census, implying a birth year of <1825> and is
listed as being born in Ontario. In his early life he worked in the pump
making business, in company with Mr. Cane. After removing himself
several times, he purchased a farm in the township of Innisfil. The farm
is in full view of Lake Simcoe, on the west side. <he is alive at the
time the book was written - 1888>. They had the following children:
- Ephraim Holland
- William Tileston
- James BELFRY is listed as the age of 26 in the 1881 census
implying a birth year of <1855>. He is listed as a farmer at
that time.
