He lived with that name till about two years ago and succumbed."

| Working on the speculation of what happened to Eunice when When Marchant Robinson died March 31, 1861 he was 51. His wife Eunice (nee Taylor - she was born circa 1818 - about 42/43 at the time) was pregnant with Edward James ROBINSON who was born later the same year on September 5, 1861 - one daughter (Eunice) between the age of six and nine - one son (Trenholm) between the ages of four and five -
one son (Alexander) about just turned fifteen (15) - one daughter (Roxanne) about nineteen (19) - one son (Silas Tuschess Rand Robinson) about twenty-six (26)
There were at least one other (and more I expect) as there was a Eugena age one in the Warren cemetery also (I do not know what year)
This implies that Marchant was: - born 1810 +/- 1 - likely married by 1834 (Silas born about 1835) - Silas was probably born in Westbrook - Silas was a father to Mary Edith April 18 (same year 1861) in Mount Whatley Westmorland.
What I have found in from Cumberland county marriages..... NEW Information....
Eunice (nee Taylor) remarried 12 Jul 1869 in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia to a Joseph S ALLEN who was son of Ephraim ALLEN (and Elizabeth). You should recognize the probable Allen tie in - I have not dug further into this piece though.
Eunice was 51 at the time and listed as a widow - residence Point de Bute - her Father was listed as John, and the mother as Elizabeth. Joseph was 56 and listed as a widower at the time of the marriage. They had Eunice's last name spelt as Robertson (translation from Microfilm I expect)
One of Merchant's and Eunice's sons James E. (Edward) Robinson are with them at the time of the 1881 census. 1881 Canadian Census Botsford, Westmorland, New Brunswick

September 2009 update: Here is was I have transcribed on Alexander Robinson from the Certificate of Registration of Death, number 1344
Place of his birth is listed as Amherst Head, N.S. in March of 1843 (we have the day as the 16th from Census records) Place of Death was Moncton, Westmoreland, he had been in Moncton for two months. Place of residence is listed as Port Elgin Date of death is
listed as October 24th, 1927, at 27 Bromley Avenue in Moncton. (not 100% sure on the spelling of the street name)
There is a declaration that “I hereby certify that I attended deceased from October 15th to October 27th.” - I cannot read the signature The cause of death was myocarditis, and the contributing factor was arteries selenosis and that he had that for several years
Interesting – it is listed that he was buried at
Baie Verte N.S., but Baie Verte in is Westmoreland NB
His father’s name is spelt Marchant Robinson, and Marchant’s birthplace is noted as Nova Scotia. His mother’s first name is marked as “not obtainable”, last name as Taylor, and the birth place is marked as Fire Islands, Nova Scotia
The undertakers were “Tuttle Brothers Ltd.”
Eliza J. Robinson was marked as the spouse.
The informant was marked as Arthur S.
